Job Summary

Baptist Health is currently seeking a Registered IV Admix Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Clay. This is a PRN, various shift opportunity working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. This candidate must have pharmacy-based hospital experience, and atleast 6 months of experience within an IV Room. This candidate will be responsible for preparing compounded sterile medications using aseptic techniques within an IV Room, refilling our automated dispensing cabinet, and assisting in the central pharmacy. This candidate must be licensed and registered as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Florida. 

As an IV Admix Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory, and maintaining patient records.
  • Maintaining compliance with USP 797 standards in their daily duties for IV admixture and TPN preparation.

*Note - Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. 

All activities performed by this Pharmacy Technician will be under the supervision of a Florida licensed Pharmacist.

Experience

  • 1-2 years Pharmacy Technician Experience

License and Certification

  • Registered Pharmacy Tech (RPT) with Florida Board of Pharmacy Required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPT) Preferred
