Registered Nurse, Oncology Patient Navigator - Malignant Hematology, Baptist MD Anderson

Job Summary

Baptist MD Anderson is looking to add a Registered Nurse (RN) as a Nurse Navigator at the Baptist MD Anderson Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. This patient navigator will support our Malignant Hematology Department. This is a 40-hour position with shifts Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM -5:00 PM.

Additional responsibilities for the RN Nurse Navigator may include:

• Act as an educator and advocate for all newly diagnosed cancer patients and their families
• Coordinate the care of hematology patients across the health care continuum, particularly Primary Care Social Workers/Care Coordinators
• Promote and support opportunities for participation in clinical trials
• Maintain follow-up with patients while at home to provide educational support and comfort to ensure recommendations are followed
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and self-care strategies through education and appropriate referrals to supportive services

• 3-5 Years Oncology Experience
• Customer Service Experience

License and Certification

• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required
