Sr. Clinical Informaticist

Job Summary

Baptist Health is looking to add a Sr. Clinical Informatics Specialist in our Clinical Informatics-Physician department at the Baptist Jacksonville. This is a full-time hybrid position with the hours of Monday-Friday 8-5.

The Sr. Clinical Informatics Specialist collaborates daily with clinical staff and application teams in an effort to continuously improve the EHR system in an effort to provide high quality, evidence based care to our patients while streamlining clinician workflows. Emergency room experience is preferred. 

As the Sr. Clinical Informatics Specialist you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with development, optimization, integration, and providing support for electronic medical records and various information systems to support patient care within the organization.
• Analyzing processes and the collection of data to streamline workflow and integrate information technologies within the clinical practice for a variety of healthcare roles.
• Utilizing methods of information retrieval and presentation to improve patient safety.
• Incorporating evidenced based/best practice standards of care in the design and optimization of systems.
• Working alongside a variety of healthcare roles including nurses and physicians to support and train on healthcare technology systems.
• Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of informatics and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
• Solving complex problems utilizing critical thinking skills with minimal guidance.
• Exhibiting excellent communication and consensus-building skills.
• Working with teams and at times leading, planning, designing, validating, and executing clinical technology changes.
