Candice Franco, PhD, is a specialist in well-being and performance psychology with over a decade of experience supporting elite performers, including seven years as a team psychologist within the NFL. Since joining Baptist in 2014, she has completed advanced leadership training through Stanford University on the unique aspects of physician well-being. Dr. Franco is driven by a passion for ensuring that those who care for us are also cared for.

About Me

I enjoy running, traveling and spending time outside with my husband, children and our dogs. My family and I have enjoyed living in Jacksonville so much that we convinced my siblings and parents to join us. Now, my father and brother work as psychologists at Baptist too!

My approach to supporting others focuses on resilience and potential rather than dysfunction or disorder. While I’ve spent years sharing in the success of elite performers, my deepest reward comes from helping individuals value themselves beyond their professional achievements. I recognize that physician burnout is not due to deficits in resilience, but rather to the complex systems in which clinicians work.
