Joseph J. Sesta, Ph.D, MP, ABN

Dr. Sesta is fellowship-trained and triple board-certified in Adult and Pediatric Neuropsychology, as well as Medical Psychology, with added qualifications in the subspecialty of forensic neuropsychology. He also holds a postdoctoral degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology and is a licensed Medical Psychologist (M.P.) in Louisiana where he specializes in pharmacotherapy for complex mood and anxiety disorders. About Me

In 2022, I relocated from Tampa Bay to Jacksonville and enjoy the downtown riverfront community and activities. When not working, I can be found biking and city hiking around downtown or taking part in River City festivities.

My philosophy of care integrates a biopsychosocial and whole-person approach to understanding the complex interaction between brain, behavior and environment. I may examine the brain but I care for the person and as such, I strive to understand each patient’s unique experience. Early in my training, I learned it is crucial to understand not only the injury to the brain, but the brain that has been injured.

Over the past 30 years of practice, I have remained active in teaching, training and supervising graduate students, interns, residents and fellows in Neuropsychology, as well as lecturing at state and international conferences on Forensic Neuropsychology and Psychopharmacology.
