Dorie Hanson is a licensed mental health counselor and a certified crisis prevention instructor with a history of serving children, adults and couples in both individual and group therapy settings. She is involved in various mental health organizations aimed at collaboration, improvement, and advocating for patients struggling with mental health concerns. Her areas of expertise include:

About Me
I was raised in Central Florida and moved to Jacksonville in 2009 to attend college. I love to spend my free time paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, and exploring local and national parks. I also play various sports and practice yoga.
My philosophy of care is to provide a safe therapeutic environment to help empower patients to engage in self-exploration, growth, and enact positive change. I believe that each patient is unique and deserves a plan of care tailored to their specific needs.
I’m a strong advocate for giving back to the community. I enjoy being involved with mental health groups, to advocate for positive change. I also enjoy volunteering with community organizations for local park and beach clean-ups.
