Tyrenia O. Cross, PhD, LMHC, is a board-certified sex therapist who specializes in clinical sexology. Dr. Cross is an experienced clinical counselor who has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings and applies her breadth of training and knowledge for individuals of all ages. About Me
My philosophy of care is to listen to my clients and understand their perspective of how they got to where they are. My goal is to empower them to identify paths to get where they want to be. I utilize an integrative approach built on a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as I believe our thoughts impact our mood and subsequent behaviors.
I believe it’s important to impact future generations today so their tomorrow doesn’t look like our yesterday. I have volunteered in many community based organizations and have most recently founded a not-for-profit organization designed to foster community involvement and personal education for girls ages 12-18 years old. I’m also a U.S. Navy veteran.
