Ankit R. Desai, MD, FACS, completed his residency in St. Louis. As a faculty member of Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, his primary area of focus is providing breast cancer reconstruction surgery. Dr. Desai diagnoses and treats a broad range of medical and aesthetic conditions, and his special interests include:

About Me
I was born and raised in Jacksonville, where I attended the Bolles School. After leaving for a number of years, I returned with my lovely wife and now am the proud father of my two children. My family and I love traveling and spending time by the pool and when time permits, I enjoy playing golf.
As a physician, it has been my privilege to help so many women affected by breast cancer to improve their quality of life through breast reconstruction surgery. By tailoring surgical and non-surgical options to each patient’s specific desires and goals and by treating the whole patient, I am rewarded with the satisfaction of helping patients restore their self-confidence.
Being part of the Jacksonville community, giving back to the community has been an important part of my life, as I wish for my children to grow up in an even better Jacksonville than I did. I have served on the Board of Directors of the Susan G. Komen North Florida affiliate as well as being President of the organization. I also have supported Bosom Buddies, Pink Ribbon Symposium, as well as a number of other great programs helping women with early detection and finding a cure for breast cancer.
