We liked how the staff seemed to know who we were as soon as we walked in the door / and this was our first visit. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and kind. And we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with Dr Calviere who projects professionalism, care and a sense of humor.

Dr Cavaliere and Ashley are always supportive. Neuropathy caused by cancer treatments are often times permanent. Dr Cavaliere stays positive and straight forward recommending potential relief - with caution. I feel like I???m in very good hand with the practice.

Very attentive staff. We had lots of questions and they all got answered. I have been on the front line fighting cancer now for about 12 years, in and out of different hospitals can cancer centers. Babtist MD Anderson is light years ahead of everyone else. Most good businesses understand three things. Safety, Customer Service and Customer understanding. Of course For your team patient service and understanding is critical. And it is never as easy as one would think. It takes focused training and true caring. I would like to mention some names but we met so many people since Friday the 18th I would hate to miss anyone. So lets just say, thank you to everyone in your Department

The doctor listens to our concerns, answers our questions and helps us make the best decision for us, not what he wants. Dr Cavalier in my opinion is one of the best physicians, along with his assistant Ashly they both listen to us . They are very responsive to our questions. If ever I need anything I shoot Ashly an email and with in a matter of hrs I???ve gotten a response . Absolutely love them .

There is a lot I like about MD Anderson, but my favorite moment so far is when the HCPs showed me my MRI after I was told twice by the Baptist ER staff that they couldn???t show me my MRI. Long story incoming: On October 23rd, I had an MRI of my brain. I had a follow-up appointment scheduled for October 30th to go over my scan. However, my MRI-ordering physician gave me a phone call 30 minutes after my scan was complete and said I needed to check myself into the Baptist Downtown ER immediately because I had a brain lesion. I went to the ER and told them ???I just got out of a brain MRI, and my physician told me to check myself into the ER immediately because I have a brain lesion.??? I said in the waiting room for several hours before they brought me back to the Neuro ER Ward where a physician asked me what the problem was. I told her the same thing: ???I had a brain MRI earlier today and my physician called me as soon as I got home and told me to check myself into the ER immediately because I have a brain lesion.??? I also asked the physician: ???Can I see the lesion on the MRI???? She very condescendingly told me that an MRI is thousands of images and the computer in my room can???t show me them. She also added in: ???It???s probably so small, you won???t even be able to see it. I had a tiny brain lesion once before that went away on its own. That???s probably what you have.??? I???m still baffled that a Baptist HCP could be so flippant after being told ???My Baptist Neurologist told me to check myself into the ER immediately.??? She came back later to tell me that it wasn???t small, but she still refused to show me the image. Later, another Baptist ER HCP came into my room and reiterated that they were unable to show me my MRI on the computer in my room. A few hours later, MD Anderson HCPs came into my room explaining that they would like to do a biopsy on my brain lesion. I asked them if I could see my scans and they were shocked that no one had showed me yet. My MRI was pulled up on the computer in my room 30 seconds later. It seems so insignificant, but that was the moment I knew I was in good hands with MD Anderson HCPs.

I have been a patient at Baptist South for a while now. Having to fight cancer is never easy, but Baptist has really paid attention to my care. Each and every encounter has been filled with all the right people at all the right times. Neuro and Neuro Radiology are the best of the best. It is my way to fully understand my medical situation. Never even a single time did I feel rushed. In appointments, the doctors always let me know, they are with me, they are concerned with my health, and totally focused on me for as long as I am in their office. Do I give them a 10? You bet I do. Registration desk just inside door from Parking Garage, which had plenty of benches and wheel chairs. Everyone was prepared for us and anticipated our needs. Physician and his PA listened carefully and were familiar with my case. All questions were welcomed and answered and we felt confident enough to choose one of the treatment options. Additionally, the entire facility, from design of common spaces.to art, to landscaping, was thoughtfully designed as a healing space

It was stellar. From the initial phone call, setting the appt, the email correspondence, the receptionist upon arrival, the financial consultant, nurses, extremely intelligent PA or dr. Assistant, Dr. Robert Cavaliere, all the way to the secretary who checked me out and made next appointment. Star studded in an amazing environment of museum quality art. The secretary at the end of visit said she has never worked in such a warm, kind, heart filled community of fellow employees, doctors and complete staff. She said she feels blessed. I felt this way throughout my entire first visit including the delightful interaction with the Art with a Heart in Healthcare artist. Would love to have piece of my artwork in this faculty. And I am considering applying to be a part of the Art with a Heart. I am a professional artist and art educator. I was extremely impressed with it all ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

When you ask the PA to slow down the pace of the conversation and she continued to talk fast to a person with a brain injury; unacceptable. Social services are a joke. Gas card have been the only thing that was positive. Sending someone that is already over loaded emotionally and asking for help a bunch of links to websites to research is not helpful. Asked for couples therapy and was referred to an MDA psychiatrist, great it???s been a month already and she can???t get to us until 10/27/23 Not acceptable. Lack of respect for the caregiver tops the list. Making fun of me and putting notes in my husband???s file is not cool. If it had been done because you were needing to justify helping me, possibly. All you have is smiles and empty words. One of the doctors acts like he can???t stay awake when in the room with you. You are probably dieting and pouring your soul out and he is a lump on a log. Not helpful The other dr is overly animated and they all talk loud like the patient is deaf. No progression or prognosis and the seriousness of Glioblastomas is not directly talked to the patient in term to be understood. There is too much reading between the lines. When faced with direct questions, it is still skirted. Pricey medications when less expensive ones will do as good is not patient focused or financially helpfull to patients. Then the whole bell ringing idea is a joke. Having my husband ring the bell and be so happy because he was cured. Nope honey you are not cured. Glioblastomas can come back.. you are just at the end of this phase.

The assistants and the doctors are always right there for you answering your questions and making you feel better about your treatments and how you are progressing. When I have to call for a question, the assistant gets right on it with an answer and either fixes the problem or gets on it right away and solves it. During the last visit the power went off, and we were in complete darkness for a short time and Dr. Cavalerri and his assistant staYED RIGHT THERE WITH ME AND FINISHED THE VISIT EXCEPT FOR THE READINGF OF MY mri. Then I was personally led out of the office and into the open part of the building and I was able to see okay. No matter what I go in for, I always come out feeling better. When I had the MR I, I used to dread going in because I have a pace maker. The new procedures for folks with pacemakers is efficient, not scary, quick, and not even unpleasant. Good job for the new technology. Many thanks for the great care.

Dr. Cavaliere, Neuro Onconogist, has been taking care of me for some time. The medical care he gives is outstanding. We patients know there is much more to caring for people like me (Stage IV NSCLC) than just medical care. This doctor give me the time and attention I need to make sure that all of my questions are answered before I leave his office. He is both attentive and personable. In my experience, this is not a combination found too often in medical care these days. I honestly get the sense that he genuinely cares what happens to me. It is obvious, this is just who Dr. Cavaliere is and I have no doubt he treats every one of his patients with the same medical focus and personal attention. Ten stars and a recommendation to anyone ever in need of a neuro oncologist.

I like that the MRI and the appointments with Dr Cavaliere and Dr Sauvageau are all on the same day. Since my husband has vision problems and can't drive, being able to have all three appointments coordinated help me a lot. It enables me to take a less than one day of leave vs three appointments on three separate days. I want to say a big THANK YOU to Katie for clearing up the miscommunication at Baptist Hospital North regarding being able to have labs done on a day prior to the MRI date. If it wasn't for her the blood work wouldn't have been done timely. Thank you to both doctors for their willingness to answer questions we had regarding the MRI results. Thank you for being patient with my husband, Doug LaFayette, and working with us in spite of the vision and hearing issues he has. All of you are very appreciated and valued.

Dr. Cavaliere is exactly the type of physician you would wish for when dealing with the seriousness of cancer. He became a team member with us from the start, analyzing and explaining ever facet of the diagnosis and options for remedy. He explains everything in detail and makes it understandable. He took all the time needed to assuage our fears and lay out a well defined course of action. Thank God Dr. Cavaliere was there for us. The oncologists are great. The listen to you and include on the protocols and procedures. The others on the care teams can be a bit dismissive at times. There should be some kind of primer or survivor outreach to share experiences and pointers surrounding the diagnosis, and what the next steps look/feel like. A list of recommended items to bring with you to in-patient and out-patient procedures would have been nice. Overall, the care at MD Anderson has been great, but the care Baptist Medical Center remains inconsistent.

From the moment I walked into the building, I felt at peace. Every employee that I came into contact with from the front desk employee, the financial aid, the nurses, the doctor, and the scheduling coordinator was so kind and so helpful. I felt truly cared for which is hard to find in the medical field today. The employees were amazing and I am so grateful for my experience. The facilities were the nicest I've ever been to for a doctor's office. It was very clean and had several extras like a quiet room and cafe that were offered.

Dr. Cavelerie went beyond everything I expected this just appt. with his desire to help & in depth explanation of the condition of my brain after my benign brain tumor surgery in 2020. The excellence of my medical team and the outstanding attitude of both the oncology Radiation therapy team and office staff. Dr Robert Cavelari, Dr Michael Olson, Nurse Jennifer and PA Patrick are among the finest medical staff we have ever encountered. Their compassion, determination to establish great care and a workable treatment plan and care has been truly blessed and remarkable. Radiation Technicisns Nathanial and Jennifer have been both sensitive and very professional. The have also been helpful and kind. All in all Baptist MD Anderson appears to be premier medical clinic and we are so privileged to have been cared for so well. Jane and I believe my cancerous tumor has shrunk and I am actually feeling much better after my treatments, though very tired. The right side of my body which was nearly totally did functional has bounced back to near use again. And the assigned Brooks home healthcare PT and OT specialists are helping my body return to near normal. I hope to someday get off the walker, I am currently stuck with, we we will see what the future holds. Thanks also to Dr Eric Shaverjeau, the Neurosurgeon who did my original biopsy, and helped determine the best course of treatment!! You have a remarkable staff and facility. I felt better about the computer record keeping and new system that would be available in months. Seeing Dr. Cavalieri is always pleasant and he cheered me up greatly, and he gave me a lot of in formation about how I was doing and my future health. I don't have to see him again for two years.

1) Please let patients know that they must see their doctor after their first cycle of 28 day chemo to get the 2nd cycle of chemo. This information was not given to me either verbally or in writing. I spent days expecting my medicine to be delivered before CVS asked me to contact my doctor. I found out when the MD Anderson phone operator read the notes to me over the phone. Someone from the doctor???s team should have let me know that they would not be approving the medicine when CVS contacted them. My doctor???s team should have let me know before I started stressing over this. 2) I saw Dr Cavalieri last week on 4/28. He assured me that his nurse Ashley would get the prescription sent in to CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacy. I checked this morning. Even though the CVS website says my medicine is on track to be delivered tomorrow, it has not been shipped. I called CVS and they said that they???re waiting for Ashley. They mentioned blood work. I had blood work done April 8 and 15. I???m not sure what???s going on. The day I saw the Dr, this should have been completed. Now I???m waiting another week for my chemo drug.

Both Dr. Cavaliere and Dr. Olson are very patient and informative in describing what???s going on within my head. I???ve never been in a hospital where just as soon as I enter into the building, I???m met with a smiling young lady and very pleasant music playing. But that???s only the start, once inside my Drs. area at check in the receptionist is very pleasant. A smile is a very strong message often shared with others that can brighten the inner feeling of uncertainty or sadness. No one knows exactly what another is going through, therefore a simple smile and a kind word spoken can plant a seed and let someone know they???re important. MD Anderson is the best in my eyes.

dr cavaleries office is always a great experience, however the mri was a bad experience starting with the tech, obviously did not look at the file for the patient, tried to draw blood half way thru the scan, as an after thought, and left the man unattended on the table for half an hour or more, all in all the process took close to two hours because of his mistake and consequently he has a very sore neck two days later from laying on the table with no neck support. we would like for someone to explain that to us, and please not have to use michael on our next scan. thank you, greg and nan reninger 904 276 1121 please fell free to call with any questions
