    Physicians and nurse took time to explain everything and gave the opportunity to ask questions since engaging in radiation is a serious undertaking for someone who has not done this before. It seems like there is enough room built into the system so that patients do not feel rushed like a few other parts of healthcare.

    Everyone we deal with from the moment we walk in the door is caring and compassionate. My tests always run on schedule. Dr. Olson always takes his time to sit down and talk to me. He not only is very thorough in updating my condition; but he spends time finding out about how I've been doing at home and shows genuine concern about my overall health.

    Dr Olsen is wonderful. He takes the time to talk to me and explain everything, and will even get back to me on the phone to answer any questions or concerns. I have nothing but good things to say about this radiation oncology department. The physician and all the support staff are extremely dedicated, caring individuals. I am so grateful for them, and the level of comfort they give me if I feel anxious. It is well worth the four and a half hour drive to Baptist M.D. Anderson to be seen by these professionals.

    Until you learn you have a brain tumor,I do not think you have much interest in the treatments and cures. Once you do have a brain tumor the doctors that i have met with suggest ideas and realistic solutions. My first solution was to do nothing.That was not my families solution. The physicians were considerate and thoughtful and listened. No one ever told me what to do. Education and Information are what I needed to make a choice.

    Appointments have always been on time, friendliness of docs, nurses, therapists and techs. The downtown center is beautiful, I will be having my treatments at the South campus and know the staff there is just as nice. If you must go through treatment, MDAnderson is a great option!

    The MRI tech "Mike "was perfect....expert IV placed...kind noise muffling foam, plugs placed, caring even at 8AM on a Monday...one of your best. The PET scan tech was abrupt, dismissive, bossy and after 3 years of my Tx at MD Anderson one of the more unpleasant caregivers I have encountered. Probably was having a bad Monday morn so forgiven by me.

    Clear discussions about risks and options with no pressure. Doctors spend as much time as necessary. Nothing feels rushed.
